The Human Resources group is a multi-disciplined team that ensures Perspecta is positioned for long-term success by focusing on the company's most important asset – its people. Areas of responsibility include benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, analytics, learning and development, and management. Services are delivered and supported through a partnership with each business group.
The Employee Relations (ER) Investigator will investigate allegations made by employees involving HR-related violations of law, regulation or policy. The Investigator must demonstrate a strong understanding of laws, regulations, concepts, and practices applicable to ER investigations. This role reports to Perspecta’s ER Specialist. This position will serve as an employee relations and investigations subject matter expert to the company, including HR Business Partners, business leaders, legal, security and employees, and will partner with those stakeholders and others to ensure the prompt and thorough investigation of ER matters. This position will also provide data analysis on trends, proactively make recommendations on how to make organizational improvements, and help resolve challenges if coaching or training related.
ER Investigations: Conducts and oversees internal investigations into alleged violations of law, regulation, conduct or corporate policies, including allegations of discrimination and harassment. Works independently or with cross-functional teams to prioritize, manage and investigate allegations in a fair, thorough and timely manner. Prepares concise written reports and summaries of findings detailing the factual outcome of an investigation.
Talent Management and Culture: In partnership with our business-aligned Talent Management team, supports performance management to drive and reinforce a culture of high performance. Supports managers and employees with performance management needs and addressing employee relations issues.
HR Partnership: Builds strong relationships across theorganization, including effective engagement, partnership and collaboration with HR and other functional teams. Supports appropriate compliance and risk management based on internal policies and practices. Works on projects as needed.
Experience managing complex employee relations topics and investigations, and offboarding processes.
Strong understanding of ER policies, procedures, and legislation related to employment practices is required
Strong organizational skills, with ability to handle many complex issues simultaneously, Exhibits strong judgment
Strong oral and written communication skills

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Experience with government contracting industry and project management, preferred
Strong skills using Microsoft office and other HR software tools
