We are looking for someone who has gained significant practical experience in the Dev/SysOps field, and who has also had some exposure to the management aspects of running IT operations overall.
We are currently growing our operations; as such, you will be taking over and leading DevOps efforts under our IT team (and within the larger Technology division) to manage and administrate infrastructure needs, facilitate deployment of our cloud-based multi-tenant products, and to manage external services necessary to support the overall Technology division. In the course of said work, you will collaborate directly with our Security & Compliance team and our Platform & Product teams (including software engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders).
You will start out by familiarizing yourself with our existing operations and infrastructure, such that you can quickly begin supporting ongoing operations and deployments.
As you become situated, you will assume further responsibilities such as collaborating with product architects/engineers on infrastructure and software choices, contributing and/or validating choices around external services, and growing DevOps operations by identifying and helping to provision further resources (such as additions to the team or to infrastructure).
Because our projects are in the Healthcare space, and involve Personal Health Information (PHI), you will work closely with Security & Compliance to ensure such requirements are being satisfied. As such, strong technical and conceptual security experience and mindset is expected.
Requirements:
- Experience with Docker or other container-based deployments for Internet applications
- Experience managing infrastructure and security for Internet applications
- AWS operational experience (especially IAM, S3, SES, SNS)
- Experience employing PaaS type services to simplify/streamline infrastructure management
- GSuite administration
- Linux server administration
- Working knowledge of Python, ES6
- Nginx, uWSGI, and similar friends
- Database admin experience, especially MongoDB & Postgres
- Experience with CI processes
- Ability to develop and/or source tooling as necessary
- Performance testing (scalability, load, stress) experience
- Knowledge around implementing/ensuring encryption-at-rest and encryption-in-transit
- Strong ability to assess system issues, including log reviews and other forensics
- Because you will be working in environments involving highly sensitive data, excellent references and a background check will be required.
Other beneficial skills/experience:
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance
- Familiarity with PCI compliance
- Familiarity with considerations towards deploying multi-tenant products

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
