Equivalent Experience
Description:
Inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, check special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators etc.
- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements.
- Provides objective evidence of results.
- Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring.
- Identifies and documents discrepancies.
- Separates and controls non-conforming items.
- Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance.
- Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action.
- Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
- Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed. Disposition and control of non-conforming product.
- Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers (or as applicable by Site size); Active use of stamps required.
- Review and approval of First Articles from suppliers.
- Perform First Articles for submission to customers.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to increase inspector productivity and assist with RCCA activities pertaining to Inspection. Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
- 2+ years of related work experience or Equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience
- Preferred experience in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection.
- Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, and verbal communication)
- Required to pass documented color and near vision exam
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements highly preferred
- Preferred experience in the usage of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
- Understanding of Six Sigma / team concepts
- Preferred Advanced GD&T Skills – Optical Comparator, Layout, Vision Scope Systems
