goLance is an online freelancing platform that specializes in connecting employers with freelancers all over the world. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a results-oriented DevOps engineer working from anywhere in the world to help us get to the next level. The DevOps engineer we seek will focus on two main goals - customer satisfaction and developer productivity. Schedules would be flexible full time, half time, or 1/3 time. He or she would work from the perspective of how software development, quality assurance software testing, and operations roles converge--how various teams and components of our platform fit together into a larger picture.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work with the engineering team on the design, deployment and continuous improvement of important infrastructure services (i.e. deployment, logging, monitoring and alerting)
- Provide input into long-range platform requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement of the goLance platform.
- Develop and own best practices/methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning, monitoring, etc.
- Own daily operational goals with the team
- Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, System Admin and/or similar DevOps role;
- Intermediate English level;
- Possess high level background in AWS
- Familiarity with IAAC tools like Helm, Terraform;
- Experience with Containers (docker, Kubernetes, ECS);
- Experience with PostgresDB, MongoDB;
- Experience with database tuning;
- Have good knowledge of CI/CD pipeline building tools.
