Role Overview, Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The RTX Corporate FP&A, Specialist will be a key member of the Corporate FP&A team, providing analysis and support to the P&L planning team. The team plays a critical role in the monthly forecasting process and quarterly external reporting process of the Company’s financial performance. In addition, the Corporate FP&A team is responsible for assisting in the preparation of Board of Director meeting materials, as well as ad hoc analysis requests from executive leadership.

Key Job roles & responsibilities:
Partner with Business FP&A teams and Corporate functions to develop monthly P&L forecasts
Assist in the preparation of monthly forecast presentations for executive leadership
Present monthly to the VP of FP&A on key financial metrics
Maintain P&L data in the Hyperion FP&A system. Assist Business FP&A teams, as needed, in Hyperion updates.
Support in collecting, consolidating, and analyzing business unit and corporate financials for monthly and quarterly results with particular focus on answering CFO, and VP FP&A questions on business and company financials.
Analyze actual corporate expenses on the legacy RTN and UTC ledgers
Coordinate ad hoc analysis, including templates, communications to the Businesses, consolidation and analysis, and diligent action item follow up
Collaborate with Business FP&A teams and Corporate functions in preparing materials for quarterly earnings calls
Reconcile financials with the Controllers organization during quarter earning preparation
Provide direction and oversight of FLDP position
Special projects, as required

Required Education and Experience:
This position typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline and 3+ years of applicable experience.

Desired Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills
Prior experience utilizing Hyperion/HFM
Prior experience utilizing SAP
