Assists in the receiving, storage, retrieval, staging and distribution of all items received and shipped by Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so that items are located and distributed in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.
Works safely and meets company standards relative to safety, including but not limited to all safety policies, equipment procedures, etc.
Follows general and detailed instructions for all tasks and assignments, including but not limited to checking receiver documentation to prepare for daily receiving.
Interacts with appropriate personnel to assist in the retrieving of required ingredients and supplies as needed.
Moves raw material and finished product utilizing assistive devices such as electric forklift, Big Joe, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Arrange thawing ingredients involves lifting 50 pounds frequently.
Performs order “picks”, documents inventory movement, and properly completes inventory logs and pick tickets.
Ensures proper material date rotation including, but not limited to finished product, raw material, and other incoming/shipped materials.
Collects and organizes pallets and keeps work area organized as per departmental standards and expectations.
Inspects incoming pallets to ensure they meet food safety standards. On raw ingredients accurately record lot codes, apply a receiving date and allergen sticker.
Organizes, cleans, prepares, and maintain storage areas for incoming materials.
Ensures safety of docking area while performing shipping/receiving (truck wheels chocked, dock plates in place, etc.)
Ensures all recyclables are sorted into proper containers.
Assists outside customers (vendors, deliver drivers, etc.) to ensure compliance with appropriate company policies such as, but not limited to hygiene (hair and beard nets) and safety.
Properly completes Bills of Lading and other required documentation to standards and expectations prior to release of orders.
Inspects quality of received goods and ensure accuracy of receiving documentation to include appropriate signature and dates and distributes documentation to appropriate personnel.
Properly stages received materials in assigned holding area until warehoused.
Checks staged order for shipping readiness, label accuracy, etc.
Shuttles company delivery trucks within yard to appropriate docks.
Maintains warehouse areas, including but not limited to freezers, refrigerators, and storage areas to company standards in regard to cleanliness, organization, safety, and other housekeeping standards.
Properly wear and maintain all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required or needed to complete projects.
Responsible for reporting food safety issues to a person with the authority to fix them or get them fixed.
Basic computer skills Word, Excel, Outlook.
All other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of warehouse experience recommended
Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness
Basic math skills
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary
Ability to lift up to 20-50 lbs throughout the day
Ability to stand for long hours
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be at least 18 years of age or older to perform the essential functions of the job
Required to present documents verifying employment authorization in the U.S

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The Associate should have a high school diploma and/or equivalent and:
Minimum one years’ related experience and/or training.
Preferred prior warehouse work experience and able to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
