Neocova’s headquarters are in St. Louis, but we operate remotely with clusters of employees in several major tech hubs, including New York, Austin and Portland.


Neocova is looking for an engineer with passion and experience for cloud infrastructure and backend development. In this hybrid role, you will help drive operational excellence by implementing and supporting DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code. The ideal candidate can work across multiple IaaS providers, using tools like Terraform to manage infrastructure in AWS, Google Cloud and Azure. The candidate will also participate in backend feature development.

The role can be performed remotely anywhere in the U.S., but we are particularly interested in candidates in and around New York, Austin and Portland.

Design, develop, support and evangelize DevOps practices
Assist in the design and implementation of agile SaaS infrastructure, automated environment provisioning and automated deployment of multiple environments
Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
Work closely with members of the Technology and Solutions teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Work with Information Security team to the optimize software development lifecycle
Identify and implement best practices for monitoring and observability of cloud infrastructure
Implement REST APIs and microservices using a variety of technologies, including Node.js
3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
At least 3 years of software development experience including backend systems
Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform
Expertise with managing NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
Familiarity with software development lifecycle
Experience with version management and ticketing systems such as Git and Jira
Experience building enterprise-grade backend software systems with high volume and availability
Extensive experience with languages and technologies including but not limited to Node.js, Express, Docker, pubsub and queue systems such as Redis, serverless functions, distributed computing systems, and OpenAPI / Swagger
Experience being a part of a remotely distributed team
